It has been impossible this past year to walk into a bookstore or video store and not hear talk or see posters about Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. Although the first book came out in 2005, to most people over the age of 18, 2008 was the year of the Twilight craze. A decent series to read, the movie was less than stellar and prompted more than a few groans from my spouse and I, not to mention it was just plain tough to sit through.

Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, as she is moving in with her father to a small Northeastern town in Washington called Forks. Bella is a typical introverted teenager with proper angst and nothing special to her name. That is until she meets Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Edward is a mysterious character who has many strange and “special” qualities about him. Although he tries hard to ignore Bella, his love for her wins out and she discovers that he is actually a vampire, thus their adventure between teenager and vampire begins.

The story of Bella and Edward, although cheesy, is entertaining. I’m against making vampires all cuddly or sparkly and I prefer them with pointy teeth, agile and full of puns (see Buffy the Vampire Slayer) but I have to admit (tough as it is) that I enjoyed the overall love story in the books. However, the movie leaves much to be desired and was dreadful to watch. Most of that blame can be placed on director Catherine Hardwicke.

Although most of the actors/actresses are pleasant to look at and their acting was at least average, the directing was so bad I’m sure some of these people had a hard time not bursting out laughing during their scenes. The scene where we meet Edward for the first time (where he is coming into the cafeteria) was so ridiculous I almost choked on my popcorn. And the scenes where Bella is in her bedroom sleeping while Edward is watching is a bit disturbing and a little too stalker-like for this female reviewer. From a directing standpoint, everything was a little too dramatic and over the top for a teen love story, maybe that’s why New Moon will be moving “in a different direction”.

Another cringe-worthy (there were a lot of them) aspect of the film is the dialogue. Dialogue can make or break a film and although Twilight would have still been a mediocre movie, a better screenplay may have helped in this case. I know the movie is based on the novel and it followed the first book rather well, but actually watching the actors say some of the lines was physically painful. A lot of this fell on Robert Pattinson, who delivered every line as if he was fighting to get the words out. Yes, that’s just how Edward is, but not every single word has to be full of pain and sorrow.

Overall, this film will disappoint everyone that’s not a hardcore Twilight fan. I almost feel bad for the tween girls that flock to these movies because they really do deserve better than this amateurish effort. I probably could have looked past some of the cheesy moments and sappy dialogue, but the B-movie feel of the film was too much. And someone needs to tell Stewart and Pattinson to ease up on the melodramatic delivery of every line; it got old after a while.

Second Part Twilight New Moon

In all, New Moon is certainly a step up from Twilight. The film highlights personal sacrifice in the name of love and that is something that is very noble and pure. This feature won’t win over any new fans but it should keep the legions of fans who read the books happy. But if you seek an adrenaline rush and delight in seeing vampires duke it out with werewolves then you’re better off watching Underworld. Those who desire a more traditional vampire better start with 1931′s Dracula starring Bela Lugosi. And there’s a more convincing, much more pure love story between a female vampire and a male human in the Norwegian import Let the Right One In. But New Moon contains a strong enough love triangle that’s not overly corny or cheesy – it’s authentic and sincere.

Wish you all Happy Diwali!

Deepavali is a festival where people from all age groups participate. They give expression to their happiness by lighting earthen ‘diyas’ (lamps), decorating the houses, bursting firecrackers and inviting near and dear ones to their households for partaking in a sumptuous feast. The lighting of lamps is a way of paying obeisance to god for attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace, valor and fame.

It is one time in the whole year that children volunteer to leave their beds long before the day begins. In fact, the traditional oil bath at 3 a.m, is the only chore that stands between them and the pre-dawn adventures. They emerge, scrubbed clean to get into their festive attire, and light up little oil lamps, candles and scented sticks(agarbathis), the wherewithal for setting alight crackers and sparklers.

On Diwali night, little clay lamps are lit in Hindus homes, but now a days colored electric lamps are also used. What is the significance of lighting a lamp? There is a logical answer to this question. It is through the light that the beauty of this world is revealed or experienced. Most civilizations of the world recognize the importance of light as a gift of God. It has always been a symbol of whatever is positive in our world of experience.

To Hindus, darkness represents ignorance, and light is a metaphor for knowledge. Therefore, lighting a lamp symbolizes the destruction, through knowledge, of all negative forces- wickedness, violence, lust, anger, envy, greed, bigotry, fear, injustice, oppression and suffering, etc. Competition is stiff, and even the little girl in silk frocks and their finery are watching out for the best sparklers and flowerpots, the rockets and Vishnuchakras, which light-up the night sky like a thousand stars. Grown-ups are the soul of generosity. Festive bonhomie abounds.

Here I give you the best ,fantastic movie Jeepers Creepers. It’s tough to write a review of a goofy horror movie like “Jeepers Creepers 2” because, let’s face it, this type of movie isn’t made for critics, it’s not after any awards, and it certainly won’t be on anyone’s Top 10 Best Films of the Year list. It’s all about grossing out its audience while having fun at the same time. If that’s truly its intention, then “Jeepers Creepers 2” succeeds – for the most part. One of the best things about “Jeepers Creepers 2” is that that damn song doesn’t get stuck in your head after the movie ends. Thankfully the song’s been dropped and I can personally say it’s not missed.

Both part 1-2 are amazing enjoy the great Movies.

दोस्तों आप ने कभी ना कभी किसी ना किसी से प्यार तो किया होगा इसलिए आप भी जानते है होगे की प्यार क्या होता है.प्यार की फीलिंग्स क्या होती है . मैं बस ये जनता हु की प्यार जब होता है तो रातो की नीद और दिन का चेन सब खो जाता है बस एक तड़प के साथ दिन की शुरुआत होती है जिसमें आप काम करने की बहुत कोशिस करते हो पर कही ना कही आप का मन उसे ही सब दूर धुड़ता रहता है , आप बस ये चाहते हो की उसकी एक जलक मील जय थो दिन सफल हो जाय !

हर पल बस आप उस्सी के बारे में सोचते रहते हो की वो क्या क़र रही होगी या होगा .वो ठीक तो है उसने खाना खाया की नहीं, उसकी हर छोटी छोटी चीजों को आप बहुत ही गोर से सोचते हो, और बस ये ही चाहते हो की वो हमेशा आप के पास आप के साथ ही रहे और हमेशा खुश रहे और मुस्कुराते रहे!

उसको जैसे ही चोट या खरोच आ जय तो आप बचेंन हो जाते हो. कभी कभी एसी चीजे देख केर आप के आसू निकल जाते है, दोस्तों येही प्यार है जो आप को भीड़ में भी तनहा केर देता हा . अगर वो दूर हो तो कुछ अच्हा नहीं लगता है ,ना खाने का होश रहता हा ना पिने का अगेर कोई बात कर रह हा तो क्या बोल रह हा कुछ नहीं पता बस दिमाग में एक ही ख्याल क्या कर रही होगी या होगा वो!

इसलिए दोस्तों एक ना एक बार प्यार करके जरुर देखना, वो इसान को बहुत अच्हा बना देता है. आप की दिल बहुत भावुक हो जाता है जिससे आप किसी को भी तकील नहीं दे पते ! बस ये सुब गुण थो इसान को इसान बनाते है और भगवान् भी येही चाहता है……………
